Acknowledgement
Welcome back for another week of learning and love! I would like to start this call by acknowledging our families for all of the support given to our students and the school in general through attendance at portfolio reviews, the dances and other events as well as support of our fundraisers. Our school is a community and is here to support you. Thank you for your support of what we do.
Fundraisers:
- Kona Ice on Tuesdays for $3, $4 or $5 depending on size (supports the 6th grade Catalina trip)
- Food Drive collecting food for those in need until Feb 28th. Canned foods, peanut butter, pasta etc.
- Luna Grill Monthly is happening this Thursday. Eat delicious food and support IA.
UPCOMING
Peaceful Parents Free Class Opportunity
It is important for a community to have solid agreements and communication. Since we have such a special and unique social emotional program we feel it is our duty to inform parents about how the home and school connection can be strengthened. To this end we are paying for a qualified Peaceful Parent educator to offer our families this learning experience. There are two times for scheduling convenience:
Weds, Feb 28th from 9-10:30 in our MPR, no sign up required
Saturday, March 3rd from 2-3:30 in our MPR, no sign up required
Our Charter Renewal Vote
March 6th at 5:00 p.m. our charter will be up for renewal. We need a showing of support so if you can be there, please come. It will be at the SDUSD Ed Center 4100 Normal Street. If you cannot come, please email the board representatives letting them know why you love IA. Their emails are:
