STUDENT LED CONFERENCES
This week all parents should be scheduled to attend their child’s SLC. If you have not yet signed up, please do so immediately using the information in the teacher weekly email. We expect 100% parent participation in this event.
PLEDGE DRIVE
For all of you that are new to IA, our pledge drive is a big 100% event as well and is an opportunity for us to contribute to our own goal. We are seeking 100% participation, meaning every family gives some amount, however large or small towards the purchase of a school bus for our field study experiences. We will combine last year’s pledge drive money with this year’s to make it happen. Thank you to all the families who have already participated! We are at 10% participation after this first week. Together we can achieve our goal of 100% participation by this FRIDAY. As you contribute, be sure to have your children stop by the pledge table at the end of the day to draw a mini self-portrait to display on the School Bus Poster representing their grade. There will be a Celebration on Friday the 14th in honor of our community’s giving to our Pledge Drive. A very special prize, valued at $275, A Flip Force Birthday Party will be raffled off on Monday for all contributions made by midnight Sunday the 16th. Let us come together to achieve our goal and further our field studies. Thank you.
HELPING HANDS CLUB
Come join us for Helping Hands (formerly Hands On) every other Monday from 12:45 – 1:45 at the lunch tables. This Monday, Oct 10, Helping Hands will be painting signs for the IA garden. If you have any leftover house paint that you’re looking to get rid of please bring it to the meeting or leave it in the office and the group will pick it up. Brushes are needed too. THE FALL FESTIVAL IS NOW THE SPRING FLING
With so much on our plates right now, the Parent Connection has decided to move the Fall Festival to Spring. Look forward to the Spring Fling coming after Spring Break to IA.
