Weekly News 9/20-9/26

Starting with the difficult news and moving towards the good…

Our lunch program is an endangered species…
We pride ourselves on being fiscally responsible and this next message is in response to that ongoing goal.  We currently have staggered lunches that last for 2 hours. A large amount of money is going into  staffing lunch and is no longer affordable. We prefer our staffing be used for academic support of children.

In order for us to continue our lunch program with Rubios, Pollo Loco, Von’s Deli and Costco we need volunteers to staff lunch distribution and clean up. In exchange for volunteer work from parents, we will provide free lunch to children of volunteers. If we are unable to staff our “hot” lunch program with volunteers, it will cease to exist at the end of this month. If you are able to volunteer any time as a lunch volunteer, even just one day per week, please contact Beth@innovationsacademy.org. Let her know the day(s) and times you are able to volunteer.  Look for upcoming news about this development in future calls.
