Pledge Drive
Our pledge drive is up and running. Remember, any donation is a great donation because 100% participation from IA families demonstrates to grantors, the school district, and other potential partners how committed IA families are to our amazing school. To make a donation, click here…or send cash or a check in to the front office in an envelope with your name.
It is much more about celebrating our commitment to our school than the money raised. But these funds will go towards a sound system for performing arts and towards getting our bus on the move.We love our families no matter how much you give. Please take time to participate !
Mindfulness and Self-Regulation, STMATH
The first six weeks of our school year are spent launching projects, developing class cultures, working hard academically and initiating our social emotional program. Two components of that social emotional program are self-regulation and mindfulness. Here are two links to help you understand these topics
Mindfulness
STMATH is a fabulous and fun conceptual math internet based program that we use at IA. All students have login information memorized and can do it with you at home. Doing the puzzles for as little as 15 minutes with your child is a great way to support them at home to become stronger mathematicians. And you will be surprised at what you find. Halloween
is just around the corner. I have received in my inbox two interesting venues that you may look into. I am sure there are thousands out there.
Oct 27th Trick or Treat on the USS Iowa (see flier) Trick or Treating will take place at 5:30 followed by a movie aboard the ship. See the flier for details.

Candy Buy-back
The IA front office will be collecting candy after Halloween and giving it to a local dentist, Dr J. Shahangian who will be sending it to the Troop overseas. We will be collecting candy from Wed, November 1st to Thursday, November 9th.
