IA PARENT CONNECTION TAKES FLIGHT
Do you want to take the lead in our Parent Connection? If so, there will be a parent leader council meeting tomorrow, Monday Sept 11 in the staff lounge at 9:00, right after drop off.
Do you want to participate in the Parent Connection, there will be a general Parent Connection member meeting next Monday, September 18 at 9:00 a.m., just after drop off. If you can’t make a meeting but would like to help out, please email IAParents@innovationsacademy.org
PC SOCIAL COMMITTEE
The IA 3rd Annual Family Fun Night is coming. Please mark your calendars for Thursday, September 28th at 5:30 p.m. There will be music, dancing, etc. IF you have been wondering about how to connect with other IA families, this is it.
DECEMBER PERFORMANCE AUDITIONS
Auditions for Snow White will be on Monday, Sept.11th starting at 1pm and Wednesday, Sept.13th starting at 3.30pm. Auditions are open to all grades but all students must have a fully completed audition form signed by a parent. Audition forms are available in the front office along with an informational flyer containing rehearsal and performance dates.
PERFORMING ARTS FUNDRAISER- RENT A HALLOWEEN COSTUME
‘Are you tired of paying way too much money for a Halloween costume that only gets worn once? The performing arts department has an environmentally sound alternative for you. Rent your quality costume from them for a fraction of the price! A list of available costumes will be posted next week. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of sound equipment for the performing arts program.
lA STUDENT ARTWORK AT CARMEL VALLEY LIBRARY
The HLC student artwork for their Shakespeare study last year is hanging in the Carmel Valley Branch Library until October. If you are in the area, check it out!
CARPOOLS
Many in our community commute to IA daily. If you want to create connection in your drive to and from school, be a carpooler. Two new requests are below.

GIRL SCOUTS AT IA
Girl Scout San Diego staff member Tracy Browns is available to answer questions about joining and or/starting a Girl Scout Troop in any grade, including Kindergarten. Tracy can be reached at 619-610-0757 and at tbrowns@sdgirlscouts.org. Please contact her if you would like to reserve a place in the Troops that are forming.
Girls can join any open troop listed in the online which can be found by visiting www.sdgirlscouts.org/join. Tracy is currently looking for parents who would be interested in Leading and/or helping out with a Troop for Innovations Academy and welcomes your questions.
