There will be no school tomorrow, Monday, Jan 18, in honor of MLK, Jr on his birthday.
Upcoming holidays are Presidents’ Birthdays, Friday, February 12 and Monday, February 15
The Thursday night Food Trucks are cancelled until Spring.
Attendance
Our first 30 minutes of the day set students up for success. Morning meetings have a greeting, a share, a team building activity and a morning message for students. We have noticed that being late has a notable impact on students. Please have your children to school at 8:45 a.m. as classes start promptly at 9:00 a.m
Donations Needed
- Niki, the art teacher and Christian, a student are gathering materials for a graffiti/spray paint /club they are organizing. If you have any of these around your house or garage, please help them by donating the following for the cause.
Old wooden furniture (especially small furniture)
Scrap wood/plywood
Spray paint. - The IA lunch program is in need of silverware, mostly forks and spoons. If you can donate any towards our zero waste lunch program we would greatly appreciate it
Sales
The 8th grade class is organizing a FAMILY DANCE to take place on February 11th, from 6-9 p.m. Mark your calendars. More information will follow.
The IA t-shirts and sweatshirt sale is almost over. Go online or stop in the office to place your order before the end of the month! All proceeds benefit 5th grade field trips.
Beth and Sally’s two 6th grade classes are having a student store starting Tuesday, January 19, 2016 during lunch and maybe even after school. They will be selling snacks including popcorn, fruit leather, granola bars, peanuts, applesauce, water, gatorade, and juice boxes. The items will be priced between $0.50 and $1.00. The store will be in a roaming black cart at 12:30 lunch and at the front office after school. After School Classes

Innovations Academy performing arts will be auditioning students from all grades for our next all school production. The show will be “Scooby-Doo and the Toy Store Terror.”
Rehearsals will be on Mondays and Wednesdays after school. The performance will take place late April /early May. Students may audition for an on stage role as an actor, to be part of the sound effects team or for the stage crew.
Auditions will take place on Tuesday January 26th and Wednesday 27th at 3.45 pm both days. Audition forms will be available in the office this week, and will be available on audition days. All students must have a parent contact email(legible) written on their audition form in order to audition. There will be no exceptions.
Our lost and found is full. Please stop by the wooden bin to see if any of your child’s items are there. We plan to donate all of the left items soon!
