Pledge Drive
Innovations Academy is kicking off its annual pledge drive which will begin this Tuesday, Sept 29th and continue through October 29. A pledge drive flyer will be sent home with your child and can be returned to your class or the front office. You can also contribute online through PayPal by going to our website. We are truly grateful for your support and happily accept any amount you can contribute. Your donation will go directly to support our robotics, art, clay and nature studies enrichment programs. We will also allocate some of the donations towards the acquisition of a van to support the 130 plus field study experiences happening this year at IA. These are the very areas that make our educational program unlike any other in San Diego. Our goal this year is to raise $25,000 and to do this with 100% family participation. Participation means that your family will donate at least $1 towards this community effort. In lieu of pushing the sale of overpriced wrapping paper or cookie dough we choose to provide a simple once a year opportunity to donate and show your support for your school.
As a thank you, when you submit your donation of any size by Oct. 16th you will be entered into a raffle to win an exciting Birthday Party at Flip Force or a dinner at Yanni’s Restaurant. We thank the Flores family for the generous Flip Force donation. Thank you for supporting and strengthening your school.
After School Enrichment Classes
BAND ENROLLMENT is due this week. The San Diego Symphony is teaming up with IA students to offer a concert band enrichment class on Mondays beginning October 5th. If your child is interested in concert band they must turn in an enrollment form by this Wednesday, Sept. 30th. We need 10 students to get this going.

Our Green Apple Service Day is this Friday from 9:30-11:30am. Please join us in the back garden to prep soils for fall planting. RSVP to Beth@innovationsacademy.org

The First Annual San Diego Maker Faire will take place Oct 3 & 4 in Balboa Park. Tons of hands-on demonstrations and things for kids to make, plus the fair admission gets you into all the museums for those days. www.SDMakerFaire.org
