GREEN APPLE DAY OF SERVICE

Thank you to all who helped out Saturday at the Green Apple day of service garden project. Some of our families gave freely of their time  to enrich the learning of our students. The transformation is amazing. Please stop by to see it. There were teachers, parents and kids all working together to create a welcoming outdoor classroom.

PLEDGE DRIVE
Our pledge drive is on. We are asking all families that are able to take the time to reflect on how much you can give to help Innovations. From last year’s drive, all teachers were able to receive one ipad to use in their class. This year we are going to use pledge drive funds for an art instructor and science lab equipment. If you would like to see your child working at a pottery wheel or gazing through a microscope pondering life, please consider donating $100. We know you will give what you can and do your best to support your child’s education, so please don’t feel pressured.  The pledge drive ends on October 18th.

Student Lead Conferences

Student Lead Conferences (aka SLCs) will be held the week of October 14th. There is no school that Friday, October 18th for professional development.  Monday through Thursday will be minimum days. Please plan ahead. Here are things to do:

1) see the class digital portfolio  to sign up for your child’s conference. SLCs are an important milestone in our school year and we expect 100% attendance.  Your chlld’s teacher will be expecting to connect with you that week.

2) If you need child care for that week after school due to other obligations, please think ahead and contact Outpost, our after school program NOW. info@outpostcamps.com No students will be allowed to loiter all afternoon on campus waiting for SLCs or for pick up unsupervised. Please support us to have a safe campus for all.

Morning Drop Off

Over the past week we have noticed students going across the street before school after they are dropped off. We do not feel this is safe because we are unaware if you as parents are allowing this. At this time we would like to make a request:  If you are okay with your child going across the street before school,  please drop them off over there and they can walk to campus when they have completed their purchases over there.

CARPOOL NEEDED FROM CARMEL MOUNTAIN
An Innovations family is seeking a carpool
from the Carmel Mountain area. If you can help, please contact Maureen at  maureen.fonken@gmail.com

PLEASE READ THE Class Digital Portfolios

Our teachers are taking the time to improve their digital portfolio entries. Please check the portfolios at least once per week.

Thank you for reading. Have a great week and enjoy the warm weather while we have it!
