My name is Savannah Ferrer and I am so excited to be starting at IA this year! This will be my 3rd year teaching, and my first school year teaching middle school! I have been teaching High School Freshman Biology, AP Biology and Chemistry for the past two years. I am delighted to be teaching middle schoolers again, I haven’t since student teaching during COVID. I earned my B.A. in Sustainability from San Diego State University. 

Outside of teaching, I love being an assistant coach for girls flag football and basketball. I also enjoy taking leisurely walks at Disneyland and California Adventure, or strolling with my dog, Nala, around my neighborhood. When my husband is home, we enjoy exploring and hiking in the beautiful mountains of San Diego; given he is active duty Navy, we tend to avoid the beaches. 

I am looking forward to getting to know you all, and having a great year with the 7th graders!
