Hi! My name is Dana, and this is my third year at IA! I am very excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year! This will be my 10th year teaching, and in the past I have taught sixth, fourth and second grade!

 I was born in Minnesota, and moved to California when I was 9. I have always loved learning, and helping others to learn ever since I can remember! When I was finally old enough to babysit, I would help out all of my neighbors. That is what helped me decide that I wanted to study to be a teacher in college. I attended Concordia University Irvine where I completed my bachelors and elementary education teaching credential. In my free time, I like to travel, go to the beach, read, spend time with my puppy Lila and boyfriend Jared, and try new recipes. I can’t wait to get to know everyone as the school year begins!
