Hello, my name is Rachel Burton and I was born and raised in sunny San Diego, California. I received a Bachelor of Textile Art from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. I spent the next four years designing textiles and installation art for kids. This led me to go back to school and obtain my Occupational Therapy Assistant credential. I eventually moved back to San Diego to be close to family and friends. I enjoy spending time at any dog-friendly beach with my Great Dane therapy dog Charlie.
Previously I worked at Innovations Academy as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L). Working at Innovations Academy helped me to realize my love for being a bigger part of the learning process. This led me to transition into working as an Education Specialist.
