Weekly News 11/15-11/21

The Pledge Drive is over and what a success. I want to acknowledge Yvette Hopp, our parent coordinator of the pledge drive, because without her we never could have done it, and of course a huge thank you to all those who participated. We had a participation rate of 65%. Our grand total raised is $14,925.88 and our parent connection has already begun the search for a van. A small percentage of the money will be put aside to help with field trips and the rest goes to our van. Last week all donors were put into a hat for the final raffle drawing and the Lotze family won a Wine and Canvas gift certificate,www.wineandcanvas.com,

The Parent Connection will have their next monthly meeting on Wednesday, November 18th at 9:00 am in the Outpost Aftercare Room 802.  Come join them for food, fun, updates on school activities and functions, and to find an opportunity to share your talents with the school.

Do you have any stuffed animals that are no longer being enjoyed?  Eli Schnieder is a first grader in Christine’s class, and for his birthday project, he is collecting gently used or new stuffed animals to give to homeless children and adults.  There will be a collection bin at the entrance to school this week only!  Thank you for helping FILL THE BIN, so that we can spread some joy to those less fortunate in the San Diego community.

And FYI…Pizza Rev is offering $5.00 pizzas on Black Friday (11/27/15) and a free $20.00 bonus card with the purchase of $50.00 gift cards.

Thank you for helping our parking lot be safe. Please continue to park if you are not dropping off quickly.

Have a great week and remember no school next week for Thanksgiving  holiday.
