Weekly News 10/4/15 – 10/10/15

Pizza Tomorrow $2 or $4
Tomorrow, Monday, Oct 5th at 12:30 our 5th graders will be selling PIZZA and juice to raise funds for their upcoming November Camp Surf trip.  Pizza will be $2 for a large slice, Juice will be $.50, or get our IA COMBO- 2 slices of pizza and a juice box for $4!!!  Have your students bring cash to get a tasty lunch after school and before enrichment classes.  This is a great way to catch lunch on a minimum day. We are prepared for the crowds, so come out and join us!

Pledge Drive- Meeting our Goals!
Our Pledge Drive continues. The first goal is to have an accounting of money raised so far by next Sunday.  Remember, our participation goal is to have every family donate at least one dollar. This would give us 100% participation and I am sure that every family can give at least that much. If you haven’t taken the time, do so now. You can send an envelope in with your child or go online and donate via our website under the payments tab.

Parent Connection Meeting
Mixing, mingling and getting things done is what our Parent Connection is all about. The next meeting is to be held   Wednesday, Oct 14th from 2:00-3:25 pm. Mark your calendars, bring your littlest ones and come out for connection.

IA Parent Connection Social Event
Save the Date for the first Parent Connection social event of the year!  The Family Fun Night will take place on Thursday, October 22nd from 5 to 7 pm. Please join us at school for the first school book fair, food trucks, music, entertainment, and socializing!  Proceeds from the book fair and food trucks go to fund IA educational materials.  You can find more information about the event soon on our IA Parent Facebook page. This social event will be sponsored by Mamas & Milk, an IA parent-owned business that supports families through pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding. See www.mamasandmilk.com for more info.

Mandatory Monday Make Ups
Monday Makeups are mandatory for children who have not completed their work. If you are contacted by your child’s teacher then your child will need to stay and be given assistance to complete their work. If you ever have any questions please contact christine@innovationsacademy.org

New After School Program in the area

Community Connection
For our community connection this week, let me introduce you to Maggie, whose daughter is Mary in Jennifer’s kindergarten. She is a Wellness Advocate with doTERRA essential oils. She is available to teach classes on natural health solutions with essential oils.
