Welcome back to our first week of school! Classes start at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8th.  Students are welcome on campus beginning at 8:45 a.m. unless they are enrolled in the before care program with Outpost.

Drop Off/Pick Up
Drop Off before 8:45 will take place on the north side of the parking lot where you will find that gate open. This year the main front gate will be opened at 8:45 which is the time for students to arrive that are not enrolled in the Before & After Care program.
Before and After School Care
Extended Care will be in a different room than last year.  They will now be located on the north side of campus in room 802.  Always drop off at the north gate where there will be a sign in sheet. If you need to drop off before 8:45, please register your child in the before school program.

Patience
During the first week of school, drop off and pick up can be chaotic and frustrating. Everyone will be figuring this out together.  Let’s be model adults and have patience with each other.

Lost at Open House
A silver leaf ring went missing at Open House. It is very valuable to one of our staff. If found, please bring it to the front office.

Clairemont Carpool
Live in Claremont and looking to carpool? Please contact Sindhu at 619-548-7774 Sindhu says, “I need someone to take the boys to school everyday except Mondays; I can bring everyone home except Wednesdays.” Supporting each other builds community.

Lunch
The September lunch menu and order form is up on our website. Please remember lunch must be ordered  online by 8:30 a.m. in order for your child to receive lunch that day. It is better for the school if you order multiple lunches at one time.

After School Enrichment
The Music Academy of San Diego is offering a concert band program in addition to their strings program. We need 10 students enrolled to go forward. Email Beth@innovationsacademy.org if interested.  The band program would start on Oct 5th, Cost is $360 for 12 classes.

A monthly payment plan is available for all music academy classes.  Contact their Director, Stanny Shiu for more information stannyshiu@maosd.org

Environmentally Friendly Lunch
Innovations Academy has a zero waste lunch program. We are asking that you use reusable containers instead of single use plastics like Ziploc baggies and plasticware to minimize our impact on our planet. We will request that all students repack their trash so that you can seek solutions in reusable containers.  Look for our reusable cloth sandwich bags table after school Thursday and Friday this week to purchase bags. Each IA family will receive one free bag to get you started. Pick yours up if you missed it at Open House.
