Jackie Pina
Teacher assistant, 1st Grade Teaching AssistantHi! My name is Jackie Pina and this will be my first official year with IA. I am beyond excited to work with 1st grade! I had the opportunity to work with IA during my internship and student teaching requirements. I have a Bachelors in Psychology but after having my two beautiful children I decided to go back to school and work towards a Masters in Elementary Education. I recently graduated ASU with my Masters and am in the process of applying for my CA teaching credential. I am so excited to keep learning from the teachers and students at IA!
In my freetime I enjoy baking and exploring San Diego with my two boys. My favorite hobbies include walking around Disneyland, hiking and Jiu Jitsu.
I look forward to this upcoming year and working with a great team!

Shenoa Loewry
Teacher assistant, 2nd Grade Teaching AssistantHello everybody! I’m Shenoa and this year will be my first with the I.A. as a member of the staff (I was a student here myself years ago). I’m thrilled to be lending a hand at a place that was so foundational to my own education and development.
While I’m currently in college for a Biotechnology degree, I’ve been working with children since 2017 as a TA, and more recently as a freelance reading and STEM tutor. As a former IEP kid with non-verbal learning disorders myself, I relate very well to children who struggle with subjects like math and reading in their formative years. One of my biggest passions is helping kids find joy and self-confidence in academics, even when they struggle to find competence.
In my free time I love spending time with my two cats, hiking, acrylic painting, playing Pokemon, and watching scary movies.

Skylar Reyes
Teacher assistant, 4th Grade Teaching AssistantHey y’all, I’m Skylar & I’m so excited to be back at IA for my second year as a TA. I come from a teaching family which inspired me to work with children, and I am almost done with my bachelor’s in early childhood education. Before moving to San Diego because of my husband’s job in the navy we lived in Colorado where I worked as a special needs paraprofessional. I love getting to know the students every year and helping them learn.
When I’m not working at IA, I run my own photography business. I’m also a mom to three kids (a daughter & twin boys) and three pups (a Dalmatian, a Aussie / husky mix, and a golden retriever ) Any chance we get we are either outside, exploring San Diego or traveling. I love doing anything creative, to garden, and to be at the beach.
I can’t wait to meet and work with your children this year!
