Happy Mother’s Day to you all! Our children give us many gifts. One of those is that they make us mothers (and fathers, of course). Being a mother who guides, nurtures and devotes their life to their children is an honor and we are blessed to be able to do so.

ART EXPERIENCE
Our first Art Experience night was a success. The play was beautifully performed and the display of art impressive. If you didn’t get a chance to come, take a look at our Facebook Page (Innovations Academy Charter School) or Innovations Academy Charter School Parent Group. Participation is the key and we thank all who participated and supported the students. The art is still in the MPR, so come on in and take a look.

SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR NEXT YEAR
Next year we are changing our minimum day to Monday. The reason for doing this is to facilitate stronger  planning and collaboration time for our teachers. We realize this may be a Friday adjustment for all of you so next year we will have a dismissal time at 2:30 on Fridays. Our schedule will be:

	Kindergarten	Grades 1-8
Mondays	9:00-12:30	9:00-12:30
Tuesdays-Thursdays	9:00-2:30	9:00-3:30
Fridays	9:00-2:30	9:00-2:30

BOARD

Board meetings take place monthly at our school on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. They are always posted on our website and the next meeting is this Tuesday. You are always welcome.

 INPUT

I value input from all community members and so do all of our teachers. If you have any questions, kudos, comments or concerns about our curriculum, campus or anything whatsoever, please value your voice as much as we do and speak to one of our staff.

TESTING CONTINUES

Our students are continuing the state testing in the mornings this week. Please have your students here on time. On time means being in line with their class at or before 9:00 a.m.
