IA is proud to sponsor an ADHD Wellness Workshop for parents given by Dr. Greatchen Pound from 5:30-7 on Wednesday, March 12th.  Dr. Pound is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Ayurveda Health Counselor. This workshop is designed to help people with ADHD reach their true potential. You will leave with an understanding of the brain functions that contribute to ADHD, how you can support your child to be successful and alternatives to medication, including neurofeedback  Childcare is available for $5 per child during the event . The next IA Garden Work Day is scheduled for Saturday, March 15th from 10:30-2 p.m. We will plant, construct a toolshed and shape the landscape of the garden. Contact Beth@innovationsacademy.org for more information. See you then.

Jersey Mike’s will be donating 100% of their proceeds to Rady Children’s Hospital on March 26 and they will donate 15% of the proceeds between 3-9pm on March 12 and 19.  Read Jersey Mike’s Flyer for details.

This is the last week for Girl Scout Cookie Sales. If you have a craving for thin mints, samoas and all the other goodies stock up this week after school at IA. $4 per box. Each troop will be given a day to sell the cookies after school. If you have a girl scout that would like to participate, please email Christine@innovationsacademy.org by tomorrow at 3 p.m. with the girl’s name, grade and troop number and I will find a day they can sell this week. An adult must be present with the girls as they sell so please make arrangements to do so.

Our school dance will be held April 11th. Save the date and show your community spirit! Classes are creating baskets. See the class portfolio for information

Please help your child develop their math concepts by working on ST Math with them at home. All of our 1st through 8th graders have accounts that can be accessed from home.
