Hello! My name is Nicole and I am excited to be the 7th Grade Math & Science teacher at Innovations Academy. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, then moved to New England to further my education, and now I am happy to be back home and teaching in Southern California. I went to UCLA for my Undergraduate Degree in Cognitive Science and Mathematics. I then obtained my Education Master’s Degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have experience teaching 4th & 5th Grade STEM programs in Los Angeles, I worked as an 8th Grade Math teacher in Boston, and then I taught 9th & 10th Grade Algebra and Geometry in Providence. I now love teaching 7th Grade here in San Diego! My favorite parts of teaching are getting to know the students and their interests, watching them make real world connections to content, and inspiring a love for math and science!
