Hi! My name is Dana, and this is my sixth year at IA! I am very excited to be switching roles this year from classroom teacher to Ed Specialist! This will be my 13th year in education, and in the past I have taught sixth, fourth and second grade!
I was born in Minnesota, and moved to California when I was 9. I have always loved learning, and helping others to learn ever since I can remember! When I was finally old enough to babysit, I would help out all of my neighbors. Those experiences helped me decide that I wanted to study to be a teacher in college. I attended Concordia University, Irvine where I completed my bachelors and elementary education teaching credential. In my free time, I like to travel, go to the beach, read, and crochet. I also enjoy spending time with my puppy, Lila, and boyfriend, Jared, and trying new recipes. I can’t wait to get to know everyone as the school year begins!
