Gallon Jugs Needed for Art
Niki, the art teacher, will be making masks with the 5th graders and she needs empty gallon jugs. Please bring in empty water or milk plastic jugs to the front office or the art room. Please wash any milk containers before bringing them as it is difficult to get dried up milk out of jugs. Thank you.

Yearbook Ordering
Remember, IA families, 2016-2017 yearbooks can be ordered now through April 30.  Please go to this website and use the passcode 10138151665191 All orders are placed online and must be ordered by April 30 to ensure you get a hardbound yearbook.  Custom pages can also be made for individualized yearbooks and must be submitted by April 30.

The Elliott Family chickens will work for food!!  The Elliott family will be bringing in dozens of free range chicken eggs to sell on Tuesday.  They will be asking $5/dozen for the eggs and will sell them outside the HLC beginning at 3:00 p.m. until they are sold out. A great deal for healthy food!

Intrinsic Motivation Tools
Would you like to learn about parenting that builds intrinsic motivation skills? There are many parent classes offered that help parents understand techniques to use when shifting to an intrinsic motivational environment in the home. Love and Logic, Positive Discipline, Redirecting Children’s Behavior and Parent Effectiveness training are all helpful. The local P.E.T. trainer is offering classes at this time. Carpool for Cash
Would you be able to to carpool from MCAS Miramar? A family is looking for a parent who can bring 2 kids home 3-5 days a week. They are willing to pay. Email Donna@innovationsacademy.org if you are able.

Parking Lot Traffic
Please help us keep the parking lot flowing and safe. When dropping off pull all the way forward past the dumpsters and loop all the way around to the street-side lane to exit the lot. Be aware of the cones, which mean, “do not stop here” and take the time to park and come in to see the classroom and chat briefly with the teacher when you can.

Summer
As you know there are many opportunities for summer experiences for children. The museums in Balboa Park, rec centers etc. Outpost, who runs the IA after care has summer camps. See their website for details . Also in this area,  Quentz Mandarin Bilingual Summer Camp-$175/week has a design and build website camp and Farm Fun Feed and Pat Chickens camp. Fees cover all classes and field trips. Meals&Snacks will be provided free of charge. See this link for details.
