3rd Grade Pizza Sale
The 3rd grade is having a pizza sale Monday (tomorrow) after school. 1 slice  with a drink is $4 and 2 slices with a drink is $5. They are learning the economics of raising money for their trip. Thank you for the support.

Shakespeare Presentation in the MPR
The HLC, Innovations own Home Learning Community has been studying Shakespeare. They invite you to come see their production of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, this Thursday, April 28th at 7pm in the MPR.  This romantic comedy features a banished Duke, his evil brother and mixed up love stories -all set in 1920’s Chicago. The show runs an hour and a half, with a short intermission. If you would like your children to experience Shakespeare, this is a great introduction.  See you there.

And speaking of testing. It is important for you to be informed about the testing because then you can better interpret their results. I encourage you to take a bit of time to view the sample tests on the CDE website.

And stay truly aware of why we have the testing to begin with. The testing system is in place due to the fact that public education is required to justify the expense of public money. After taking sample tests and listening to student interpretations of the test myself, I am convinced that these tests do not give us accurate data that we can use to inform our instruction. Please do not take my word for it. See what you think yourself.
