In Art Class our HLC students created three panels for their Spring Shakespeare play last year. The set portrays a magical forest. This collaborative artwork was inspired by Gustav Klimt’s powerful Tree of Life painting, which the artist painted during his “Golden Years”. We took a close look at Klimt’s processes and the common themes and elements inherent in his artwork. We also read The Magical Tree, a children’s book written about the Tree of Life, which was a great way to teach students about the meaning behind this famous and timeless work of Art.HLC Artwork on display at Carmel Valley Branch Library
