I’m thrilled to be entering my 10th year at Innovations Academy and my 18th year in education. I’ve taught nearly every grade from Early Start Kindergarten through 8th, but middle school—especially 8th grade—is where my heart truly is. I love supporting students as they explore identity, independence, and big ideas.
My teaching is rooted in experiential, project-based learning, and I’m passionate about connecting academics to the real world through inquiry, creativity, and hands-on discovery. Whether it’s diving into history, science, or literature, I aim to spark curiosity and joy.
Outside of school, I love reading, hiking, camping, baking, and spending time with family, friends, and my two children—one of whom is wrapping up their time here at IA. I also have a deep love for animals and nature. Fun fact: in my first year at IA, my students helped raise 12 puppies from my dogs Parker and Clyde!
