IA Team

My name is Nicole and I am the 7th Grade Math & Science teacher at Innovations Academy. I am very excited to join the IA community for the 2025-26 school year. I was raised in Los Angeles, then two years ago I moved to New England to further my education, and now I am looking forward to coming back home to Southern California. I went to UCLA for my Undergraduate Degree in Cognitive Science and Mathematics. I then obtained my Education Master’s Degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have experience teaching 4th & 5th grade STEM programs in Los Angeles, I taught 8th Grade Math two years ago in Boston, and during the 24-25 school year I taught 9th & 10th grade Algebra and Geometry in Providence. My favorite parts of teaching are getting to know student are interests and how they learn best, watching them make real world connections to content, and inspiring a love for math and science! I look forward to meeting all of my students and their families in person.
