I have been a part of the Innovations Academy community since my son entered this school as a fifth grader in 2011. Both he and my daughter were privileged to complete their middle school journeys in this amazing learning environment, and I was happy to teach first and fourth grades while they were here. I am now a Reading Specialist as well as a Dyslexia Therapist, and it is my honor and joy to support the students of Innovations Academy to improve their reading, writing, and spelling.
When I’m not at school, you can find me walking on the beach, hiking in the mountains, reading novels or traveling with my family. My husband is an armchair philosopher who is a systems engineer at Qualcomm. My son who shares my love of languages just started his first job as a Software Engineer at Qualcomm, and my daughter who shares my love of music will be a senior at UC Santa Barbara in the fall.
