SUPPORT IA AT SDUSD BOARD MEETING-TUESDAY
Tuesday evening, 5:00 p.m. the board will vote whether to move forward with the apartment project. Since board members are elected, it is a great way to teach children about local politics and it is time to be heard. We will have signs for our supporters The more folks that show up the more likely this will go in our favor. Please also call in your opposition to the board office at (619) 725-5550

AUDITIONS FOR SCOOBY-DOO
Tuesday auditions for the next whole school production are postponed due to the Board Meeting. So, auditions are now going to be held on Wednesday 27th  at 3:45 and the following Monday Feb 1st at 1 pm

6th GRADE PARENT MEETING-BOTH CLASSES
There is an important Catalina parent information session on Friday afternoon in Sally’s classroom (room 603) at 2:30 p.m.

FUNDRAISER-BAKE SALE
This Friday, January 29th our 4th grade will be having a Bake Sale before and after school. Grab a bagel for breakfast and a cookie for snack. All items are only $1. Your support will help ease the cost of some very important field studies. Thank you very much. Enjoy!

FUNDRAISER-SCHOOL DANCE
The 8th grade will be hosting a Masquerade Ball for students and families of all grades on Thursday, February  11th, from 6-9 pm.  Tickets are 8 dollars a person and that includes two slices of pizza, refreshments and access to a photo booth! All the proceeds will be going to the 8th grade’s end of the year trip! Tickets will be sold before and after school by the front office in the IA cafe. Hope to see you all there!

See the Globetrotters with Rich, our PE Coach
This year PE is being taught by Coach Rich Curry. He and his wife, April, run Athletic Initiative, an organization dedicated to supporting children. They have connections for tickets to the 90th anniversary Globetrotters Game in San Diego. If you want to go, you must purchase tickets on or before this Friday on their website: http://www.athleticinitiative.org/annual-globetrotters-game.html  The game is on Wednesday, February 12th at 7 p.m.Tickets are $15 each (at the Sports Arena aka Valley View Casino Center)

Five students in attendance from Innovations Academy will be selected to
play in The Court of Dreams. These students will show off the ball handling skills that they have been working on at school! The Court of Dreams is a pregame experience where Athletic Initiative participants play games and demonstrate skills on the court before the game.
