We love the extension options that IA offers, especially performing arts and nature studies. We also love the approach, especially the field trips. Gives the students such a different perspective to see things in real time.

My kids really enjoy going to school which is the most important thing to me! They have fun learning and being with their friends. They love their teachers. We love the project-based aspect, the social-emotional learning, the enrichment classes. The physical school building and outdoor play yard are beautiful and have great energy every time I walk onto campus. We love the mission and values of the school, the no homework in the younger grades.

(I like the) 3 day program and the ability to still be engaged with my kids learning, the school events and other parent involvement, the small class ratio and incredible teachers, the explorations they have. It’s like no other!

I love that my son is able to learn with different modalities. He has had experiences with field trips that would not have been possible anywhere else. He has great teachers that care and love their work. They are always innovative and improving their craft.

We LOVE the school and so do our kids and this is the main reason we are still here! The experience for our children, the positive discipline approach – we believe the world needs humans that think differently and this is what we have seen with our kids. They teach us so much about how to deal with confilct and how to talk through problems. It has been a gift! The smaller environment/size of the school is also a big plus, the newer campus, the community, the no electronics/no cell phone usage approach…

I love Innovations Academy Charter School, and it’s because of so many reasons…the staff there are so compassionate, the parent involvement is greater than any school I’ve seen, and the director is brilliant. The school is based on the idea of giving the students more freedom to direct their learning experience, and they really honor each individuals way of learning. My son is intelligent and sensitive, and has experienced a great deal of loss and trauma during his life. He was an emotional wreck. Innovations Academy has been so helpful, reaching out to him and having tremendous patience as he works through these issues. After just months of being there, my son is enjoying learning, making friends, and learning all sorts of great stuff. I feel so blessed to have my kids at Innovations Academy

I believe in the pedagogical philosophy of IA, and the extracurricular classes like Life Science with Mary, and drama with Natasha, and athletics with Coach, along with the awesome 2D and 3D art programs and of course Español. IA is a positive and family like environment. The fact that they collect telephones is awesome and keeps the kids focused and engaged. The various field trips and the project based learning are also huge pluses.

I love that my kids have a love for learning, can explore and have exposure to lots of interests and topics, hands on learning, and field trips. The school values social emotional learning.

IA has helped my children with social emotional skills. After the pandemic, they were really struggling to find the joy in learning again. Having the additional support and positive discipline from the staff gives us a lot of peace. It has helped them regain confidence in their academic careers. Our kids enjoy learning again and have been able to experience some amazing learning experiences. They have made connections with wonderful friends and families here.

I would like to let you know that whatever you have done to my son, that I am truly impressed and thankful. Lorenzo gets up every morning excited for school. I have a new young man at my house it seems. He is concerned and outgoing when it comes to homework [we actually don’t give mandatory homework at Innovations, as we believe in family time. This child is bringing home work because he really wants to!], unlike last year. He tells us about his day and what he did. It is truly astonishing! Never has Lorenzo ever shown such enthusiasm for school in his young life. He has also gone as far as talking about college. I have always just worried about him graduating from High School much less what college he wants to attend. I thank you and Tony again for whatever changes you have contributed to in helping my son! And more over, thank you for making my son feel empowered and eager to learn and become a success.

Thank you so much for providing the school that Rachel can’t wait to attend in the morning. She’s never wanted to talk about school before, even when asked, and now she voluntarily tells me about it! And yesterday she got in trouble for jumping out of the car before it completely stopped when she was dropped off at school. (I smiled as I scolded because I’ve never seen her happy to get to school.)

Teachers feels like partners in raising kids – actually the whole school feels in partnership with raising our kids and influencing them for positive growth. Teachers are willing to be adventurous and brave in their field trips and creative learning with kids
