Performing Arts
Congratulations to Natasha and Amber and the cast of Alice in Wonderland for their stellar performances this past weekend. As usual, Natasha pulled off a great show. We are lucky to have her.  That said, IA never has a lack of performances. Our 5th graders will be performing “Keep Calm and Carry on: The True Story of Operation Mincemeat” this Wednesday at 10 am in the MPR. For more info, email Emily@innovationsacademy.org

Family Dance Information
When? This Thursday 6:30 p.m.
Cost: Pre-sale – $8  At the Door – $10 Tickets are on sale at the stand after school every day leading up to the dance! This includes: 2 slices pizza + drink, blacklight dancing, 2 glow sticks, games, raffle ticket & more

It is a family dance; everyone is welcome. Children 3 and under are free. Parents coming to the dance still need to buy a ticket. Glow in the dark face painting will also be available at the dance. Only $1 (small design) or $2 (large design)

Glow in the dark t-shirt making info:  Tues, May 9th and Wed, May 10th during each grade’s recess!

$6 for t-shirt and supplies
$3 if you bring your own shirt

Teacher Appreciation Week
The week of May 8-12 is Teacher Appreciation Week. The Parent Connection has developed a recommendation for small demonstrations of appreciation from your child to their teacher:

B   Monday —Blossom Bring a flower for your teacher.
L   Tuesday —Letter Write a thank you note to your teacher.
O   Wednesday — One Snack Bring in a healthy snack for your teacher.
O   Thursday — Office Supplies Bring in school supplies for your teacher.
Friday — Mixed Fruit Bring in a piece of fruit for your teacher.

Garden Plant Sale Fundraiser
As you may have noticed, Mary and the green team are selling plants after school to raise money for the garden. There are still some left! These salsa kits contain 5 plant seedlings: 2 cilantro, 1 tomato, 1 habanero, and 1 jalapeño, and are selling for the suggested donation of $4/kit.

Our Future Facility
We have not yet firmed up a location for our forever home. We are negotiating to stay in our current location until June 2019. Stay tuned for the coolest school facility ever!

Girl Scout Information
Girl Scouts are getting the word out. They will have a table out in front of the school 5/8 or 5/9
