Excellent Article
Networking is so important in the parenting world yet many of us don’t have time to socialize with other parents and informally discuss the challenges that parenting presents. One of the challenges we face as a school that parents also face is that our culture has somehow come to believe that success in life is all about rewards and punishments and that raising children means setting in place a firm structure of consequences in order to motivate them. This article will give you something to ponder when considering reward systems to “positively” motivate your child or to get them to do what you want. We have our school counselor, Jennifer, to thank for this gem.
