Weekly Info 10/23-10/30

Good Evening IA Families, This is Christine with the news for the week,

PLEDGE DRIVE
And the winner of the pledge drive raffle of a FLIP FORCE BIRTHDAY PARTY is Talan Starne of the 4th grade. Congratulations!

In the long run we will all win because by the end of the year we are determined to have a bus.

And here is a message from our pledge drive organizers:
“Fellow I.A. Families. We want to thank you for coming together and giving generously to our school’s pledge drive. From pocket change to company matching many of you have really come through. By giving, we have become more invested in our community and our future.  We are making strides to accomplish our very costly goal and are at 50 % participation to the tune of nearly $13,500.  The good news is there is still time to give, if you haven’t had a chance.  Achieving 100% participation helps increase our funding and of greater importance is tangible proof of our commitment to I.A. when we write grants and seek sponsors. We show our commitment to our own community through our actions.  Thank you for making a difference.”

HELPING HANDS CLUB
The Helping Hands club will be having a book and popsicle sale this Monday, October 24th after school from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. We will be selling books for $1 each, 10 books for $5, or fill your own bag for $10. Outshine brand popsicles will be $1 each. This event will raise funds for our visit from the Helen Woodward Animal Shelter on November 7th. See the IA Facebook page for more details on both events.

PIZZA FRIDAYS
The 8th grade continues to host Friday pizza lunch. Use the form under the LUNCH tab on the website to order but pay by sending the money in with your child.

POLLS on Election Day at IA
On Election Day our MPR will be used for voting. We are seeking volunteers to be on campus as observers to ensure that our school day flows smoothly, that voters don’t wander around campus and that all of our students are safe. If you can volunteer any amount of time, please email Kiersten@innovationsacademy.org
