Hi, it’s nice to meet you! My name is Keely Moore, and I am thrilled to be teaching 2nd grade at IA this year. I am a sixth generation San Diegan who grew up in Scripps Ranch. I graduated from the University of Redlands with a Bachelor’s in Women’s and Gender Studies. Most recently, I graduated from the University of San Diego with a Master’s in Education.
I was inspired to become a teacher after working for the Girl Scouts of San Diego for four years. Over the years I was a camp counselor, high ropes facilitator and camp director. Being in the sun every day, covered in glitter, and singing camp songs are memories I will cherish forever.
I like to run, and am training for my second half marathon in March 2018. I love to scuba dive, kayak, and do anything that keeps me in the water! I also love to travel and try new food from around the world. On Sundays you can find me performing with my Improvisational Comedy team, “Sunday Company” at the National Comedy Theater.
I can’t wait to start my journey with IA this year, and continue to learn more about our community. Feel free to stop by my classroom any time so I can get to know you better as well!
